Robert Allen and his firm handle fraud case involving real estate transactions in Virginia, including a number of cases, listed below, involving a home flipper named Lesley Jean Balderson and her company, Complete Home Design, LLC. In 2025, for reasons yet unknown, Lesley Balderson changed her name to Lesley Jean Layton. With no apparent insurance covering her home flipping activities, she has tried to convey/conceal assets which has prompted fraudulent conveyance lawsuits against her.
After the first lawsuit against her in 2019, Lesley Layton f/k/a Lesley Balderson began using limited liability companies. For example, she is currently (as of March 27, 2026) trying to flip an 11,000+ square foot home located at 467 Daingerfield Road in Tappahannock, Virginia 22560, known locally as the “Wilton Hilton” and she is using a company called Home Staging Plus, LLC to hold and sell the property. She has used a number of different realtors in her home flipping business and she currently works with her daughter, Reagan Wallace, a realtor with Keller Williams Realty. As of March 27, 2026, Ms. Wallace is listing 467 Daingerfield Road for $2,385,000.
Nazar v. Lesley J. Balderson, Chesterfield County Circuit Court Case No. CL190001600. The Complaint alleged that Lesley Balderson, a home flipper, covered up water intrusion, water damage, mold by installing wall panels over moldy drywall and installing new carpet, and she tried to exclude the plaintiffs and their realtor from the property just before closing to conceal a flood that occurred in the basement after the property was under contract. A Chesterfield jury returned a verdict against Lesley Balderson finding she committed willful fraud and awarded treble damages to the homeowners under the Virginia Consumer Protection Act.
